Giving back through life-changing experiences and connecting girls everywhere.
Giving back through life-changing experiences and connecting girls everywhere.
Our Founder Samaia A. Goodrich gave us insight into a new perspective on mentoring and empowering girls worldwide (circa 2021)
To empower girls and young women to empower each other and rally a collective voice with a vision for positive change.
We focus on ensuring the maximum positive effort for girls in our individual communities and beyond. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that help us affect personal and academic growth and development
and community change that will last a lifetime.
In 2016 the heart and purpose of our young Founder came to light through the creation of the Let Our Voices Echo (LOVE) Project - Syracuse. What began as a school-based community service project to encourage her 4th grade classmates to actively engage in improving the community has unfolded into a mission to spread love and the critical importance of giving back worldwide. We've grown consistently since then, all thanks to the helping hands of our amazing community! Seeing a need for energetic, strategic and a consistent commitment to wholistic growth and development, mental and emotional health, inspiration, and sustained promotion of positive images of girls and young women, with an emphasis on black and brown girls, in every platform of media and the world we live in, we come forth with sensible solutions through one of our most profound Initiatives to date -
Girls Loving Ourselves Worldwide (GLOW).
By the end of this school year, we will have served more than 100 of our peers, girls and young women this year alone, and engaged them in service and activities that promote a bond of sisterhood.
The 2024-2025 program year finds us digging deep and reaching back to help ensure that our "little sisters" have access to positive peer role models, and can actively and innovatively interact with them, with us, on a consistent basis through joint service projects and targeted activities that aim to decrease bullying and violence among girls in and out of school and increase mental health awareness by enhancing self-awareness, caring and kindness towards each other and ourselves; creating bonds that promote excellence, resilience, growth and legacy through sisterhood.
On December 18, 2024, we had the honor of delivering something super special. This season is all about giving and the GLOW TEAM had the opportunity to return to where we started to spend an afternoon empowering, encouraging and listening to 5th grade female students. A component of our 2024-25 “Circle of Sisters” Initiative, we were able to create and provide super-filled gifts bags for each student, while discussing important topics and engaging them in interactive activities that promote self-awareness, confidence, kindness, friendship, dealing with peer pressure and teamwork; transforming the way they interact with and see each other and themselves.
Are you currently enrolled in grades 9 - 12 and interested in joining us in giving back to our community this year through our "Circle of Sisters" Initiative? Please leave your email address below and click the sign-up button. We will contact you. Thank you!
